Job Details

We have an exciting opportunity available as a Supplier Quality Engineer for an innovative and growing Medical Device company based in Gloucestershire. This is a fantastic role for someone looking to further develop experience in Supplier Quality Development and a career in the Medical Device industry.

 

Responsibilities

  • Working with suppliers to develop and implement best practices with an emphasis on defect prevention as well as reducing variation and waste to provide continuous improvement to meet the requirements of customers
  • Collection of root cause analysis and providing corrective feedback in order to minimise the potential for disruption to production due to supply issues
  • Maintain and progress supplier non-conformance records via electronic quality management systems
  • Manage customer specific requirements and offer technical support to suppliers
  • Responsible for ensuring that products produced meet the quality standards required whilst minimising quality costs and maximising customer satisfaction
  • Introduce initiatives based on general supplier development and improvement
  • Work on multiple phases or sub-tasks of projects or entire projects of high complexity, with results impacting on project completion.
  • Work with suppliers to ensure supplied parts and materials meet Safety, Quality, and Cost and Delivery requirements.
  • Conduct Supplier reviews/ audits to ensure the supplier processes meet internal requirements.
  • Adhere to Quality Management System (QMS) requirements in line with internal ISO13485 QMS & Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) FDA21 CFR Part 820.
  • Ensure that process & timeline requirements for Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA) are met in accordance with internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and in support of internal Global Objectives for CAPA.

 

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent in relevant subject such as Engineering or Science.
  • 2-4 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience with 1st article inspections (documentation check from supplier)
  • PPAP knowledge (PPAP implementation experience is not essential but advantageous)
