We have an exciting opportunity available for an experience Human Resources expert to become the Site Leader for a pharmaceutical site based in Austria. This is the perfect role for someone looking to step into a new position leading a site going through transformation and growth.

 

Responsibilities

  • Build personnel and organisational capabilities to achieve revenue and EBITDA targets in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
  • Manage the planning, development and implementation of HR strategies and tactics of the manufacturing organisation and other assigned responsibilities
  • Take on a leadership role as a business partner to drive a culture that values quality, leadership, ingenuity, teamwork and a commitment to success
  • Manage employee relations activities within area of responsibility. Effectively investigate employee matters and reach appropriate resolutions
  • Maintain productive and effective working relationships with the works council, including being well versed in the applicable agreement and employment terms, as well as works council operations
  • Lead talent management, performance management, and training and development initiatives and priorities in area of responsibility
  • Ensure the company remains compliant in all applicable areas of employee relations, including with respect to privacy, compensation and benefits, employee certifications and documentation, and time management, among others. Remain abreast of legal and compliance developments. Support audits by Social Security and Tax Authority and management of compulsory occupational health and security measures.
  • Implement established HR policies / practices consistently across the site.
  • Consistently utilize HR systems, processes, and technology to drive efficiency and consistency across the function.
  • Coach and counsel managers and employees in all aspects of HR management.
  • Effectively collaborate and build trusting relationships with other HR team members to efficiently and effectively manage the function, including HR operations/benefits, compensation, recruitment, Corporate HR, and peers throughout the function.
  • Drives employee engagement initiatives and processes impacting the manufacturing facility/ function(s).  Leads employee programs and activities that support a positive working environment.
  • Comply with local, state, legislation and company policies to ensure all ethical and legal standards are achieved.
  • Compensation and Benefits Management. Responsible for, among other programs and processes, compensation reviews and adjustments processing, deferred compensation applications, bi- annual updates to employees on long-term account balances, administration of benefits, annual pension data reports and statements to employees, direction and accountability for third party vendors (e.g. payroll, health and welfare programs, pension administration).

 

Requirements

  • Strong HR experience
  • Prior HR experience working within a manufacturing facility/environment
  • Native German language (speaking and writing), English fluency (speaking and writing)
