Overview of the Accounts Assistant role:

ICON is recruiting for a Accounts Assistant, on a Permanent basis, to join a thriving & growing Finance Business Partnering team, based in our HQ in Dublin on a hybrid working basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Professional, who’s currently studying their ACCA or CIMA, to gain responsibilities in a range of Financial and Business Partnering driven activities, become commercially focused and be a key player in supporting the wider Finance function in the Netherlands.

The Accounts Assistant, will be responsible for:

  • Develop, build and prepare external client financial reports related to study and portfolio Sponsor requests.
  • Analysis of revenue & invoicing through Excel-based data.
  • Understanding financial trends.
  • Assist in and preparing monthly reporting package for study team, including timelines, hours/units vs. budget, burn rates, trend analysis, forecasting, resource management, and invoicing.
  • Build and maintain study project profitability reports, provide analysis and recommend suitable actions.
  • Prepare presentations for reviews and other purposes using Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Become the counterpart of Project Management for all finance related topics.


To be considered for the Accounts Assistant role:
  • ACCA / CIMA studier with experience in analysis and insights of financial data and trends (either within industry or practice).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as be a team player.
  • Experience assisting Finance Business Partnering Managers with various relevant information requirements.
