Distribution Manager | Fast-growing innovative pharma company

NonStop Consulting AG on behalf of our client - innovative mid-size pharmaceutical company in the centre of Basel - is looking for a Distribution Manager.

We offer a 12-months contract for this position with a competitive pay rate (will be discussed individually).

This position is responsible for the outsourced Endocrinology Global Warehouse HUB and for the Transports leaving the HUB for the EU and MENA. The specialist is going to be in charge of the transport network for the incoming goods to the Global Warehouse HUB to ensure a high service level at the lowest possible costs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage overall relationship with external LSP (Logistics Service Providers) for the warehouse and the transports;
• Ensure requested service and costs levels are maintained;
• Operationally manage shipments for MENA&US/CA customers in cooperation with local management;
• Operationally manage daily Logistics operations with LSP for EU shipments;
• Operationally manage returns, stock alignment, over-labelling operation, and destructions with LSP and transport providers;
• Drive continuous improvement projects related to the area of responsibility;
• Represent Warehousing and Transportation in Cross-functional projects;
• Ensure GDP compliance with Distribution operation.

You will have the key interactions with:

• LSPs (Transport and Warehousing)
• Country CS/sales functions
• Global Planning
• External CMOs for a transport organisation
• QA/QC (GxP setup, releases)
• Corporate Supply Chain functions (WH, Transport, Procurement)
• IT (SAP)

Job Requirements:

• University Degree in Supply Chain or very Supply Chain related functions;
• Experience in a similar role with increased independence, preferably in the Pharmaceutical/Consumer Health business;
• Background knowledge of Customs topics;
• Excellent English, French & Italian (desirable);
• SAP (MM, SD);
• MS Excel (very good knowledge as well in the creation of ad hoc and ongoing analysis/data management tools);
