The Opportunity

In this newly created opportunity, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our CSL team. Reporting to the Head of Executive Compensation, Performance Management and Equity you will support the development and implementation of executive compensation programs and short term incentive plans across the CSL Group.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in compensation, including executive compensation experience, board paper preparation and Remuneration Report development and delivery . A strong understanding of current compensation trends and regulations is a must, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with and present to senior leadership.

The Role

  • Review and evaluate all elements of executive compensation, including cash and equity programs, ensuring integration and alignment of executive pay with overall company goals and objectives
  • Benchmark executive-level roles providing market data and pay recommendations to support executive offers for new hires and promotions - Senior Vice President and Vice President population
  • Provide consultation on executive compensation matters to senior executives, including the Global Leadership Group, and HR Business Partners
  • Lead agenda preparation and meeting schedule for the Human Resources and Remuneration Committee (HRRC)
  • Preparation of papers and analytics for Board and HRRC meetings - determining how to best present this information and edit and verify accuracy of information in papers and presentations
  • Lead the preparation and delivery of the Remuneration Report
  • Point of contact for all quarter-end and year-end reporting, including the provision of data for the Remuneration Report and Financial Statements
  • Support with M&A activities including due diligence, executive compensation assessment and integration support
  • Owns and delivers the market data benchmarking process including submission of data and analysis and presentation of results for executive positions
  • Serve as the escalation point for all executive compensation issues and develop strategies and intervention to address them
  • Create, maintain, update procedure documents for global practices with an eye for continuous improvement in accordance with industry best practices and standards
  • Lead initiatives for introducing/maintaining best practices, including benchmarking relevant policies and practices with similar organisations or market leaders, as may be approved from time to time
  • Utilise data and key performance metrics to identify trends and recommend proactive solutions for employee retention and engagement related to executive compensation
  • Act as a point of contact and at times lead various work teams to develop, contemporise and enhance programs, procedures, policies, processes, workflows and automation related to executive compensation
  • Develop recommendations for systems and process improvements, including increased automation of selected compensation and administrative functions.

Your skills and experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, Finance or other appropriate discipline
  • Minimum ten years' experience in a medium/large organisation in a compensation role - including executive compensation experience
  • Knowledge of reporting tools and HR processes
  • Strong knowledge of HR administration/analytical software
  • Knowledge of Workday is highly regarded
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills at all levels, with the ability to interpret and summarise data. Ability to influence outcomes and educate global groups and functions.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and provide fast and cost-effective solutions
  • Advanced numerical, data (MS Excel) and analytical skills, coupled with the ability to execute that analysis through excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong focus on execution excellence and ability to manage multiple projects of varying scope and complexity simultaneously.
