Senior Bioinformatician

A Senior Bioinformatician is needed to lead and direct investigations at an exciting start-up!

You will be in charge of creating and executing bioinformatics pipelines for the analysis of cfDNA samples, with a focus on cancer liquid biopsies. In order to develop and evaluate fresh methods for identifying and characterising cancer-associated mutations, you will collaborate closely with our team of scientists and doctors.

In this position, you will have the chance to influence our research's course and have a big impact on the world of cancer liquid biopsies. Additionally, you will be in charge of training and overseeing young bioinformaticians, as well as presenting your research findings to internal and external audiences.

Requirements:

• MSc or PhD in computational biology or bioinformatics or similar area
• 5+ years of relevant senior work experience in cancer research and genetics
• Comprehensive knowledge of the statistical techniques used in bioinformatics analysis
• Experience with Bash programming and UNIX environments
• Skilled in Python, R, and Matlab data analysis and visualisation
• NGS pipeline building and testing experience
• Highly collaborative, communicative, and independent
