Job Details

Hobson Prior are currently looking for a Senior Clinical Operations Director to join a fantastic CRO on a permanent basis located in London with hybrid working available. Our client is focused on assisting and growing the performance of global clinical trials and/or prospective outcomes research on behalf of sponsors.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • For this position, you will be responsible for status of study/ies and that these are discussed routinely with the study team and management and that unresolved concerns are raised suitably.
  • Supervise operational progression and acknowledge and handle obstacles/challenges.
  • You will serve as the main point of contact for the operational team and mediate with senior management for the operational teams.
  • When needed, you will mediate with external customers such as Liaise with external customers such as Steering Committees, Investigators, Study Nurses and Clinical Trial Pharmacists etc.
  • Arrange the development of program level documents, plan and metrics reports.
  • The ideal candidate will assist the operational team in the training of site guaranteeing they are trained in protocol specific processes.
  • Offer assistance to the clinical project managers throughout the planning and finalisation of study budgets.
  • Execute a culture & program of consistent improvement.
  • Any other assigned duties.

Requirements:

  • Familiarity in a senior role within a CRO/pharma organisation.
  • Acquaintance with independently leading clinical project management teams and/or cross-functional operational teams with at least 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role guiding the operations of international clinical programs.
  • Program planning and project management abilities, which involves project and business finances.
  • Prior involvement with clinical trials project management and leadership.
  • Acquaintance within the field of operations and project management.
  • Customer engagement and executive communications experience.
  • Comprehension of business methods, technologies and their applications.
  • Educated to a degree level in a life science or similar discipline.
  • Capable of developing and updating working practices.
  • Familiar with supervising outsourced CRO work.
  • Comprehension of cardiovascular disease and remedies for treatment.
  • Expertise of GPP, GCP, and the regulatory framework for clinical research.
