THE POSITION


As newest member of CD Finance & Group Functions Global Facilities & Engineering (GFE) bundles EHS, Security, Real Estate & Facility Management and Engineering globally, striving to serve BI’s site network as strong infrastructure and business partner.

Depending on your experience and skills, this position can be filled either as Manager Global Operational Security or Senior Manager Global Operational Security.


Tasks & responsibilities


  • As Senior Manager Global Operational Security, you will have strategic impact on overall GFE and its direction, optimizing and creating new polices that excel current benchmark performance levels.
  • You will implement new methods based on innovative as well as sustainable trends, integrating them into the existing landscape and organization.
  • One of your key tasks will be to create, maintain and implement BI's Security Standards to protect BI's supply chain (incl. external partners).
  • In this role you will holistically monitor the completeness and effectiveness of implemented precautions (technically as well as behaviorally).
  • You are passionate about changing the security culture and landscape to move from old visions into an agile function that builds on innovation and technology to be prepared for the future challenges.
  • In addition, you will drive the vital cooperation between internal and external partners to guarantee the minimum level of agreed measures. This also includes compensatory measures for foreseeable situations (e.g., failure of technic).
  • Thus, you will deliver corporate security standards into the working processes of our internal and external partners and stakeholders by adding true business value and being a business enabler.


Requirements

  • Master's degree in Security, Risk or Crisis Management or similar course of study with long term industry experience in risk and security
  • Strong background within the fields of operational security and preferably global experience within this area
  • Security incident management capabilities including investigation background
  • Knowledge of crime phenomena and organized crime structure, modus operandi, and intelligence/report compilation
  • Depending on responsibilities within the function, specific skills are required in the areas of site security, employee security, event security, know-how protection, supply chain security, security investigations and assessments
  • A global network withing the security community extending over also to other stakeholders from insurance, law enforcement and other industries
  • Knowledge about TAPA supply chain security standards and regulatory programs, e.g., C-TPAT, AEO would be an advantage
  • Excellent command of the English language
