This is a brilliant opportunity for an Associate Director of Statistical Programming or Senior Statistical Programmer with at least 3 years experience in a leadership role to join an exceptional and dynamic programming group.

The vision of our Real-World Evidence (RWE) teams is to pioneer and lead with scientific and technical expertise in the generation and dissemination of high-quality Real-World Evidence. We make a true difference to patient lives, globally. Our RWE Global Biostatistics & Statistical Programming team delivers insightful analytics for predominantly primary data collection studies, and are increasingly supporting innovative studies such as External Comparators, Enriched Studies and Pragmatic Trials.

Job Overview:

With regional presence, this Associate Director - Statistical Programming job will manage a team of Statistical Programming staff in hiring, training and supervision. You’ll assist in directing the Programming department in the development of policies, procedures and standards, and implement measures of performance and training programs. You’ll organize resources according to multi-project requirements and deadlines. May also serve as lead on major projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Serve as a programming consultant for internal & external stakeholders. Maintain knowledge and awareness of developments in statistical programming. Participate as high level lead programmer on high profile projects. Independently bring project solutions to team
  • Staff Management: Planning, assigning, and directing work. Appraising performance. Guiding professional development
  • Financials: Accountable for controlling costs and maximizing revenue recognition
  • Strategy and Initiatives: Partner with managers to define strategy and initiatives for client/service groups
  • Customer: Act as Client/service group owner
  • Proposals: Participate in sales meetings as required. Review and write proposals. Discuss budget assumptions with clients. Understand and discuss pricing models

Minimum required qualifications and experience:

  • Masters or Bachelors degree in Maths, Computer science, Statistics or related field
  • Already at Associate Director level or been at Senior level for 3+ years in statistical programming
  • 3+ years experience of leading and motivating staff
  • Expert knowledge of SAS and technical database skills
  • Expert knowledge of CDISC standards
  • Expert knowledge of statistics and/or the clinical drug development process
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Sound judgment/decision making
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
