THE POSITION

As Process Expert in our Operations Planning team, you are part of transforming the Supply Chain Management at Boehringer Ingelheim. You are working in a globally operating team that designs, builds and continuously improves BI’s global Supply Chain Processes. The scope for this position focuses on the Production Planning processes within our supply network. These processes are supported by our global SAP systems Global Business Services (GBS) (SAP ERP) and Global Replenishment Planning (GRP) (SAP APO) as well as the advanced planning system MWB (ORSOFT Manufacturing Workbench).

Tasks & responsibilities

• As Process Expert, you work in cross-functional teams to ensure the implementation and continuous improvement of our standardized processes in global projects.
  
• Based on your expertise in Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Operations Planning, you identify improvement opportunities and develop proposals in collaboration with stakeholders.
  
• You manage user communities and spread best practices for example by training our key users.
  
• Acting as third level support, you support our daily operation of processes and applications.
  
• Thanks to you, we can be sure that our processes and systems are always compliant and in a validated state.
  
• Furthermore, you manage the execution and documentation of testing and training activities.
  

As Process Manager, you additionally take over the following tasks:

• You independently design, build and maintain efficient global processes and define the level of standardization for processes.
  
• In strategic projects, you identify improvement opportunities and develop proposals together with our stakeholders.
  
• You manage external consultants and ensure their adherence to BI standards.
  

Requirements

• Master’s degree; preferably in Business Administration, IT or similar
  
• Initial experience in Supply Chain Management and/or Operations Planning ideally in the pharmaceutical industry
  
• Good SAP knowledge such as SAP ERP PP-PI or SAP SCM PP-DS as well as experience with other advanced planning systems
  
• Project work experience and / or consulting background preferred
  
• Dedicated team player with good communication skills as well as good analytical capabilities and problem-solving competence
  
• Agile, accountable, and entrepreneurial mindset with a dedicated solution- and result orientation
  
• Fluent in English, additionally fluent in German would be an asset
  

As Process Manager, you additionally have:

• Several years’ experience in Process Management, Supply Chain Management and/or Operations Planning as well as in an international environment
  
• Experience in managing projects on your own achieving your goals in time, budget, and quality
