Our client is a well-established leader in the design, fabrication and installation of high-quality conveyor and palletising solutions for the Australian and New Zealand food, pharma, chemical and paper industries. The business is growing rapidly and this key position is now available.
Your role will see you work with field-based sales/application engineers to develop engineered conveying and palletising solutions to meet client needs. You will then take over the management of the project, developing detailed designs, liaison with clients, suppliers and subcontractors for approvals and then the oversight of the product fabrication, installation, commissioning and handover. Every project is different, with different challenges to overcome. So if variety and problem solving is important to you - this is the role!
You will likely hold a degree in mechanical engineering, but we are also open to trade qualified engineers with relevant experience. The ideal candidate will have past hands-on experience with materials handling equipment, however we will also consider other production experience. The key criteria will be your ability to learn, visualise solutions and solve problems. You can communicate well with clients, other engineers, tradespeople, and plant operators and are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty. Regular travel to client sites across Australia is part of the role.
