Reporting into Team Lead Epidemiology & RWE MIDI

 

I am partnered with a global pharmaceutical company on a brand-new role within their RWE senior team. The Role:

 

The Epidemiologist will be responsible for initiating and driving strategic pipeline RWEs and co building post launch RWE studies and programs with countries to enable patient access for the companies’ therapies. You will ensure RWE strengthens their value proposition and that RWE becomes a strategically embedded part of the business’s priorities.

 

You will be involved in translating the evidence gaps into relevant and feasible programs and engage with the OPU’s to join these programs. You will act as an ambassador for the MIDI RWE division driving regional projects that can be leveraged in EU countries.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • RWE Strategy & Implementation: Collaborate cross-functionally leading the development of high-quality RWE strategies for assigned products and therapeutic areas based on evidence gaps identified.   Lead, design, execute and provide oversight of high-quality epidemiology / RWE studies ensuring results are effectively communicated to drive internal and external decision making. This will include writing protocols, securing internal protocol sign off, data analysis and the production of reports and manuscripts. Being accountable for research plans from concept to publication. Oversee, contribute to and manage the study quality, scientific content, resources, project plans and vendors. Explore research opportunities for the products, formulating specific research questions, identifying data sources, study design and analytical approaches. Publication of studies, preparing abstracts, presentations and manuscripts for scientific conferences and journals. Participate in the development of new processes, SOPs, training programmes and work on the implementation of RWE and Epidemiology strategies. Provide epidemiological and statistical expertise to market access to support economic modelling and data analysis for HTA submissions. Interpret research findings and proactively communicate actionable conclusions and recommendations.

 

 

Requirements:

 

  • MINIMUM 3 years’ experience leading international projects in RWE and epidemiology across multiple stages of the product lifecycle Degree, minimum Masters in HEOR, Public Health, Epidemiology or another relates field Trained epidemiologist with strong methods training and an analytical background and experience designing and conducting non – interventional / RWE and observational studies including protocol development and implementation. EXCELLENT project management and time management skills – With examples in a RWE / HEOR setting. Specialist technical knowledge on epidemiology, real world evidence, payer systems and overview knowledge of healthcare systems. Ability to regularly interface with medical affairs, biostatistics, pharmacovigilance, Market Access, HEOR, Marketing, RWE, regulatory affairs teams internally and externally. Expert knowledge of Good Clinical Practice / ICH Guidelines, regulatory requirements, clinical monitoring procedures and drug development processes. Hands on knowledge of RWE design, execution strategies and reporting Ability to manage work on time and to budget whilst allocating resources effectively Experience networking with and liaising with stakeholders and other senior leaders across Europe. Excellent communication skills with the ability to address issues and manage internal and external stakeholders’ expectations. In a timely manner. Strong time management, planning and prioritization abilities Fluent in English – Other European languages are preferable
