Tasks & responsibilities

  • In your new role, you will lead, manage, and develop the External Management/Development Third Party Quality Management NBE team, which operates within Quality NBE as part of Global Quality Development.
  • You will design and maintain a quality system for the qualification and quality management of service and material suppliers based on the applicable regulatory and internal company requirements and develop it further. In this context you represent the interests of the Qualified Person within Global Development.
  • Moreover, you will ensure that the manufacture, control, and distribution of Biological Clinical Investigational Medicinal Products (NBEs) and Advanced Therapy Investigational Medicinal Products (ATIMPs) by qualified external partners within and outside the EU is compliant with GMP, GDP, ISO regulations and local and global regulatory requirements.
  • Through your expertise, you will support third-party vendor selection by evaluating internal and external quality standards and ensuring qualification throughout the supply chain.
  • Additionally, you will be accountable for managing external deviations or OOX results, changes, and CAPA, as well as championing the development and optimization of underlying processes and systems.
  • As an auditor or expert, you participate in the performance of audits by third parties in cooperation with the Audit functional unit within Quality Development. Your tasks also include the planning of audits and the evaluation of audit results.
  • Furthermore, you will act in a global BI organization and external network to support our diverse clinical trial project portfolio.


Requirements

  • Master's degree in pharmacy, chemistry, biology or related field, and many years of professional experience in GMP regulated environment for biologics, NBE or ATIMPs, especially in the field of quality assurance
  • Ideally, experience as a quality manager or auditor in the areas of inspection or audit management or regulatory affairs
  • Several years of experience leading line or matrix teams with strong leadership skills and ability to provide direction in unusual situations
  • Ability to drive and support change, solution orientation, sense of responsibility and entrepreneurial thinking
  • Excellent communication skills coupled with intercultural skills and sensitivity
  • Fluency German and English, both spoken and written
  • Willingness to travel locally and internationally
