Job Details

The Principal FP&A Analyst requires the ability to prepare and review complex financial data to provide comprehensive and in-depth analysis to help drive results. The Principal FP&A Analyst will serve as a liaison between Veristat’s functional groups and Finance, as well as assist in recommending, developing, and incorporating process improvements in both the revenue recognition and change order processes. This role oversees the forecasting and budgeting process for Europe and Asia working collaboratively with the business leaders and in coordination with corporate FP&A and project finance leadership. This role requires a high degree of professionalism and the ability to accomplish objectives with no supervision and limited oversight. Experience in month end close and forecasting support in a controlled accounting environment.

 

Experience & Minimum Requirements:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance required.
  • 4-6+ years of relevant professional experience, with at least 4-5 years of experience within a CRO required.
  • Change Agent – adept at recommendation and implementation of cha through effective communication and leadership techniques.
  • Experience with NetSuite a plus.
  • Prior experience in project analysis and ASC 606 revenue recognition required.
  • Prior experience in portfolio financial management and forecasting required.
  • Ability to serve as a peer mentor and influence without authority required.
  • Ability to serve as a consultant to internal business partners and provide financially sound recommendations on project finances.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, organizational, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent financial, communication, and interpersonal skills as well as an elevated level of personal motivation to achieve.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with confidential and sensitive data
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills, to manage multiple projects or tasks simultaneously
  • The ability to perform in depth project analysis utilizing various sources of information to help make a support the decision-making process.
  • Understands the importance of meeting deliverable timelines set by the client, the project team and corporate.
  • Understands the underlying principles of revenue recognition and the relationship between Revenue, Backlog, Work in process and Invoicing.
