This is a great opportunity to join an established pharmaceutical company as an Area Business Manager 

As an Area Business Manager, you will lead a team Sales Specialists and focus on the continuous process of improvement in the results, quality and skills through effective coaching, motivation, support, and guidance. In addition, your will develop area strategies and drive the creation of business plans for customers and brands and lead the execution of the plan through a team of Key Account Managers and Clinical Specialists.

Key Responsibilities:
Initiate recruitment, lead, develop and motivate team of effective Key Account Managers and Clinical Specialists, maximising revenue through a targeted customer base.
Set individual performance targets with each representative and review regularly to monitor progress.
Ensure optimal productivity of their team with customer contacts, coverage and frequency, by speciality department and where appropriate, primary care. 
Sales force productivity will be a key measurement of success for the team.
Enabling local market access in formularies and guidelines where applicable, for all UK products.
Monitor and analyse Area sales and other KPI’s ensure results are communicated monthly.
Manage and optimise effective allocation of budgets and other resources, to deliver required business results.

Qualifications:

University degree (or equivalent) - ideally Life Sciences, Business or Marketing
ABPI qualification
Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
 

The Person/Experience:

Minimum experience of two years in 1st line management of Sales Professionals and experience in front line hospital sales/ Key Account Management.
Demonstrable sales delivery through sales team, in the last 12 months
Comprehensive knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Industry and the NHS
Required to be within 2 hours travel time to the location of all field visits. Able to travel extensively and with frequent (2-3 nights per week) overnight stays.
There may also be a requirement for other UK and international travel on occasions.
