Growing, European CRO with over 25 years of proven track record in hitting recruitment targets and delivering on time within budget is seeking an ambitious and driven Business Development Associate to join them.

Working with pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device companies, this is a unique opportunity to drive the company’s development and share in their future.

Responsibilities:

  1. Business Development
    • Manage a portfolio of on-going projects Maintain professional internal and external relationship with colleagues, clients, and partners and proactively initiate new ones Seek out, critically assess, and evaluate new business opportunities Conduct contract reviews for new projects and clients Work with the Business Development Director and colleagues to ensure business plans align with company targets Support with the facilitation of client exchange to develop bespoke innovative solutions Support in other business development-related tasks, such as creating presentations, researching target clients, and responding to client queries
    Analysis and Reporting
    • Evaluate the performance and profitability of projects and report to the Business Development Director Develop marketing and communications material such as articles, case studies and features to promote company services to previous clients and new prospective clients Create and manage budgets for new projects and conduct financial reporting on the current portfolio Remain abreast of developments in biotech and pharma and actively contribute to a culture of innovation and efficiency within the company Keep up to date with developments in business development approaches to ensure efficiency in both internal processes and client management
    Internal & External communication
    • Interact and cooperate with clients, co-workers, and partners to help facilitate a trusting and inclusive work environment with shared values such as drive, innovation, customer centricity, collaboration, creativity, and integrity
    People and Culture
    • Be a collegiate and respectful member of the team, showing due care to colleagues and partners Adopt a service culture to assess, advise and facilitate opportunities

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Successfully finished degree or equivalent qualification Previous experience in business development within the life sciences industry Passion for business development and relationship management Clear communication skills appropriate for both internal and external audiences Ability to establish and maintain relations with clients and partners Excellent time management and organisational skills (e.g., multitasking) Proven project management and teamwork skills Ability to analyse and synthesise information from various sources Financial acumen, financial management skills, and knowledge of contracts Attention to detail, commitment to quality and punctuality Advanced experience in working with the MS Office Suite Fluency in German and English
