The Global CAPEX Team is accountable for all large CAPEX projects worldwide.

We are seeking a proven Engineering Standard Expert who wants to make a difference and actively contribute to the creation of best-in-class engineering and project execution capability.

Join our Global CAPEX Team withing GFE (Global Facilities & Engineering) and take a leading role in development of a successful Engineering Standards Ecosystem!

Tasks & responsibilities

• Your main task will be to further improve Boehringer's CAPEX project capability and actively integrate CAPEX-project relevant engineering standards, tools, and requirements.
  
• You will cross-functionally assess existing engineering standards and requirements and build the bridge to our largest CAPEX projects.
  
• In alignment with your GFE peers you will develop mitigation strategies and coordinate the development as well as sustainable integration of new standards.
  
• You will provide an oversight of our engineering standards, tools and requirements to our CAPEX project teams, partners and contractors. You ensure consistent implementation of relevant standards and requirements on our CAPEX projects to ensure that business needs and project objectives are met.
  
• As part of our Project Excellence Team, you will actively participate in project reviews and monitor compliance with the valid engineering standards.
  
• In addition to these tasks, you will contribute to the further development of SME's (subject matter expert) internal network across all business units, locations and functions and support cross-departmental collaboration.
  

Requirements

• Advanced degree (e.g, master’s degree, diploma, or comparable) in engineering
  
• Long-term engineering expertise in pharmaceutical or chemical sector
  
• Demonstrated experience in implementing standards and processes for engineers (e.g., CAPEX environment, engineering consultancy, center of competence lead)
  
• Profound knowledge of relevant technology and processes, keeping up with new standards, technologies, and tools
  
• Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments
  
• Capability to analyse, structure and document best practices
  
• Ability to build and influence an informal network to deliver results within complex matrix organisations
  
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, combined with a solution-oriented way of working
