Job Summary:

Manages soft services and security related activities with a proactive and customer oriented attitude. Ensures that any outsourced activity is executed in alignment with Covance expectation and agreed level agreements. Provide effective assistance to the Facilities manager and department. Coordinates metrology activities with corresponding responsible persons in laboratories for the instruments.

  • Coordinates soft services activities and services to ensure quality and effectiveness.
    • Organizes and follow soft services contractors such as: custodial, food service, waste management, pest control, etc...
  • Develops and deploys Soft Services metrics to ensure contracts correspond to the expected service level (contract management). Continuously monitor services quality for the mentioned contractors by regular audits / housekeeping checks.
  • Acts as an interface between Covance employees and soft services contractors. Supports the service provider in communicating with the various departments at the site to ensure smooth processes.
  • Controls communication and any special assignments that may arise.
  • Passes on suggestions for improvements to the objects and the services to the management.
  • Promotes employee engagement through new services and activities.
  • Proposes the soft services operational and ensures regular follow-up and reporting to management
    • Assists the Facilities Team in collating the operating budget under a single document for both soft and hardware services and presents it to management.
  • Prepares documents, work instructions, SOPs for the different Facilities activity (incl. support to the technical team).
  • Coordinates facilities support for the different events organization (e.g.: employees party, BBQ, etc...).

Metrology ad Interim
  • Demonstrates a good understanding of the business needs and provides the most cost effective metrology services to the operational groups.
  • Responsible for coordinating the maintenance and development on the Labcorp maintenance management system TMS, acting as a site administrator for the system.
  • Collaborate with internal customers to collect new assets' data and charge them on TMS creating the associated maintenance schedules.
  • Maintain general oversee on the maintenance and calibration plan of instruments and equipment (i.e.: machines validation and calibration) and warn the concerned department of any deviation delay form the recorded plan.
  • Understands the relevance of metrology and checks the completeness of the service provider's data which is uploaded on the system by the instrument or equipment owner.
  • Alert the management (facilities and department) in cases of repetitive deviation from maintenance and calibration plan

Experience Minimum Required:

Years of experience in the job discipline: 5 years

Years of experience in other professional roles

Other required work-related experiences: familiar with facilities & security duties

Education Minimum Required:

Security management and soft services management experience.

Maturity level.


Excellent knowledge of MS Offices tools.

Knowledge in building facilities (infrastructure and processes).

Strong customer oriented.

Open-mind, flexible and pro-active

Good communication and organizational skills.

Discretion and confidentiality.

Ability to work independently and under pressure.

Support good relationship with internal customers or external contractors.
