Personal Genome Diagnostics (PGDx), now a part of Labcorp Oncology, empower the fight against cancer by unlocking actionable information from the genome. PGDx is leading the decentralization of NGS testing by delivering comprehensive genomic profiling solutions to local laboratories, enabling greater access to precision medicine for healthcare systems, physicians, and patients worldwide. The PGDx portfolio of RUO and IVD tissue and liquid biopsy kitted products uncover molecular information to inform treatment decisions for patients battling cancer. In 2020, PGDx was granted the first ever FDA clearance for a comprehensive genomic profiling kit. Equipped with its own CAP/CLIA lab, PGDx also partners with biotech and pharmaceutical companies offering an integrated solution from biomarker discovery to global CDx commercialization, accelerating the development of biomarker driven therapies. PGDx was established by researchers from Johns Hopkins University who are pioneers in cancer genome sequencing and liquid biopsy technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a driven, high-energy, early in career sales professional who is motivated to drive new business and uncover opportunities with our rapidly growing US commercial team. The Inside Manager Sales (ISM) will work with our talented account executive team to research and build a pipeline, identify target accounts, and help develop efficient methods of outreach to target integrated health networks, academic medical centers, and reference laboratories.

This is an individual contributor role focusing on contacting prospective and existing buying influences across the cancer research and clinical care continuum and is directly involved in account expansion and revenue growth across the PGDx NGS portfolio of precision oncology products for translational research and routine diagnostics. The ISM will support implementation of sales campaigns and strategies for these accounts.

This position ideally requires strong sales proficiency, account management skills, baseline technical knowledge and domain expertise, and basic knowledge of genomics and precision oncology concepts.

To be successful in this role the ideal candidate:
  • Achieves quarterly and annual lead generation goals as outlined in sales incentive comp plan.
  • Handles inbound client emails and calls, qualifies leads, and grows client relationships at the appropriate levels.
  • Collaborates effectively with Regional Business Executives in business unit; brings potential opportunities to their attention.
  • Effectively transfers accounts and client information to Regional Business Executives.
  • Manages expense budget and submits expense reports for reimbursement on required timelines, as required for occasional participation in tradeshows or similar industry events.
  • Expands client requests upselling for business unit when possible.
  • Provides sales activity reports to management on a regular cadence.
  • Develops client call cycle to achieve objectives and sales plan; advises on any recommended improvements to SOPs.
  • Provides general intelligence on key competitors.
  • Sells the business unit’s capabilities leveraging differentiation framework.
  • Collaborates with companywide resources to achieve superior customer satisfaction.
  • Organizes and hosts client visits if required.
  • Uses SFDC to manage internal communication and document territory and client information as required for the business unit.
  • Maintains frequent email and phone contact with clients to grow and expand business relationships.
  • Leverages Marketing, SMEs, and Customer Service and Support Staff to support client discussions and heighten clients’ awareness of business unit products.
  • Creating leads from literature and industry events including peer reviewed journals, poster/symposium presenters, and attendee lists.


Education/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in life science or business field preferred
  • Moderate industry knowledge
  • Functional scientific/technical expertise in specific areas of laboratory diagnostics/genomics/cancer biology


Experience:
  • Commercial/Inside Sales experience with working knowledge of Marketing Analytics
  • Other required work-related experiences with Salesforce.com, Eloqua, ZoomInfo, and similar tools
