The Opportunity

As CSL Behring evolves and grows, a new position is available for an Executive Director GlobalDrug Product (GDP) Development. You will manage the delivery of all global development and product support related activities from drug substance to final container within our Plasma Product Development (PPD) function. Operating as a change agent within PPD, you will lead a global team to grow a culture of cooperation and direct those projects in the area of drug product.

The Role

• Lead a global team of ~50 across Australia, Europe and the US in Process Development, Formulations, Product Stability, Placebo Development, and Primary Packaging & Medical Devices
• Develop site-based senior leaders and ensure efficient collaboration, harmonisation and best practice across all plasma derived product development groups to drive change and improvement
• Promote a global harmonised approach in development and post-launch
• Sit on the global Plasma Product Development leadership team. Modernise process development and product development activities
• Develop talent to meet Global Drug Product requirements. Plus, develop succession plans that provide career opportunities for individuals while supporting business resiliency
• Develop project externalisation capabilities to enhance program execution
• Collaborate with important partners (Commercial Development, Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, E2E operations and others)

Your skills and experience

• Doctorate or Masters degree with relevant experience in Engineering, Science or other related fields
• Experience leading technical teams with emphasis on development, mentorship and encouraging a culture of collaboration and best practice. Advanced leadership capability that has preferably led a regional / global function(s) and develop an agile team with a focused philosophy to lead best practice
• Industrial R&D experience with exposure to operational environments will be useful
• Demonstrated CDMO externalisation experience
• Familiarity with one or more of the following disciplines process development, product development, formulations, devices, fill/finish.
