Hobson Prior are in search of a Manager, Laboratory Equipment Qualification & Validation to join a fantastic Biotechnology company on a permanent basis, located in Spain. Our Client is focused on delivering life-changing medicines for patients through mRNA science.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • In this position you will be responsible for providing equipment installation and qualification for a newly opened laboratory in Spain in the first few months.
  • Ensure equipment installation and qualification with external service providers.
  • Monitor and communicate instrument lifecycle timelines (asset induction, move/decommission, CQV activities, etc.).
  • Provide assistance with all equipment inquiries and needs, refer them to appropriate vendors and onsite support.
  • Keep track of deviations, changes, and CAPAs related to laboratory equipment.
  • Provide support to cross-functional teams for method troubleshooting, change, and optimization.
  • Maintain Equipment/Instrument inventory, master file, and SOPs.
  • Use electronic/paper systems for data entry, analysis, trending, and review.
  • Among other responsibilities, support team projects and initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant sciences and 10 years' experience in a cGMP laboratory.
  • Ability to acquire methods and troubleshoot instruments. Experience in chemical, microbiological, and analytical instruments/software.
  • Demonstrate ability to manage project timelines, organize, and solve problems.
  • An understanding of the FDA, EU, ICH guidelines and regulations.
  • Technical writing, oral communication, and organizational skills.
  • Collaborate effectively in a flexible, cross-functional matrix environment.
  • Being able to prioritize and complete multiple projects and tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
