About the Department

Novo Nordisk (NN) Oceania is a high performing affiliate within a mature pharma market environment. You will have the opportunity to liaise with colleagues from the Supply Chain Management (SCM), Finance, Quality, NN Global Shipping and Global Business Services (GBS) teams located at North Sydney Head Office, and primarily interact with external vendors to maintain productive working relationships with these stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of NN's logistic execution plans and processes.

As Senior Logistics Coordinator, you will be a key member of the NN Supply Chain team and will report directly to the Supply Chain Manager.

The Position

In this role, you will take on the responsibility of managing Novo Nordisk's Fourth-Party Logistics (4PL) and freight forwarding partners in Australia and New Zealand. This role is pivotal within the business to ensure that our supply chain partners continue to be an extension of the NN business through customer centric philosophies coupled with a continuous improvement drive. The key to the success of this role is to be able to build positive and productive relationships with all stakeholders while identifying and driving opportunities for process improvements to ensure that we continually meet customer, patients, and business expectations.

Specific duties include but not limited to:
  • Be the process owner and champion for all 4PL and logistics processes and ensure that all 4PL & Freight Forwarding vendors meet agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Manage all business review meetings and other 4PL meetings including project management of key 4PL projects ensuring delivery as per business expectations
  • Work with key business partners to identify and implement warehouse and distribution solutions that are aligned to the NN business strategy
  • Ensure month end activities that relate to NN's 4PL and freight forwarding partners are conducted to meet all compliance and customer requirements
  • Comply with all Quality Assurance (QA) and financial business requirements

Qualifications
  • You have minimum 3 years' experience managing 3rd party logistics providers or freight forwarder vendors and have in depth knowledge of warehouse and transport operations as well as the implementation of value adding KPI's.
  • Lean 6 Sigma certification is an advantage.
  • You have completed Tertiary education in Logistic, Supply Chain or similar.
  • Experience in SAP is essential.
  • You are proficient in MS Excel and other MS office applications and your communication skills (written and verbal) are excellent.
