Our Summer Internship Program

An internship with us gives you the opportunity to work side by side with passionate problem solvers on powerful and fulfilling work. Our collaborative culture inspires you to learn from the expertise surrounding you and to share your own knowledge and experience with colleagues. This Opportunity

Syneos Health’s Finance Intern Program is seeking several summer interns to join us to work on financial analysis for clinical research studies on behalf of our customers. In this role you will have the opportunity to apply your education, skills, and knowledge in Finance to real work in progress as well as gain exposure to customer-facing finance processes.

Opportunities exist in Financial Planning and Analysis, Business Operations Planning, Revenue Recognition, Accounting, Audit, Contracts and Sales Support, and others.

This program is based in Morrisville, NC and offers a flexible hybrid work option of partial office-based and partial home-based.

What You’ll Do
  • Analyze and report on-going operations
  • Forecast financial and non-financial trends
  • Support internal planning and management accounting functions
  • Prepare external reports for customers
  • Prepare ad-hoc analysis and business case modeling per business requirements
  • Assist with monthly forecasting processes as well as with month and quarter-end close activities and reporting processes
  • Engage in continuous process improvement efforts to streamline financial planning and budget management processes for efficiency and accuracy

Your Skills & Expertise
  • Current pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related
  • Past internship experience or project work in financial analysis
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced Excel skills required; Oracle and/or Power BI is a plus
