Patient Safety Project Manager

As Patient Safety Project Manager, you will lead safety activities across a variety of projects, working across a variety of sponsors. You will have the have opportunity to be involved from study set up to close out and in time, review new requests and take part in defense meetings.

  • Provide leadership and management of global or regional projects of various complexity ensuring that communications and processes are harmonized for assigned projects. Attend client meetings and liaise with clients where appropriate.
  • Manage assigned projects to ensure all deadlines and safety reporting are met in accordance with International reporting regulations, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety processing guidelines.
  • Maintenance of adverse event reporting requirements for all countries.
  • Responsible for making decisions and managing internal resources and third party vendors at a study level if applicable.
  • Maintain good understanding and awareness of all financial aspects of the project, Monitor and manage project deliverables regarding contract assumptions, identifying out of scope work or potential budget overburn.
  • Responsible for the preparation and review of Safety Management plans, Reconciliation plans, study specific templates and development of study specific training materials.
  • Contribute to the development and/or review of project related documentation as required.
  • Responsible for setting up safety database systems for assigned projects.
  • Provide project specific safety training to Operational team, Clinical operations/Project management, Client and Investigators as required.
  • Responsible to prepare and deliver safety presentations at investigator meetings, client meetings and internal meetings as appropriate.
  • Consistently contributes to solving technical and/or operational problems by proposing and executing innovative solutions which influence program/project direction.
  • Generation of monthly status and other project-specific reports ensuring the quality and accuracy of metrics and data provided.
  • Prepare and participate in internal and client audits, or regulatory agency inspections.


Education
  • University/college degree life science preferred one or more of the following disciplines: Biological Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, Life Sciences, and Chemistry or certification in a related allied health profession (i.e. nursing, medical or laboratory technology) from an appropriately accredited institution.


Experience
  • Ideally you will have project management experience gained within a similar position but those with the relevant industry experience would be considered also, such as data management, clinical, regulatory affairs.
  • Extensive experience/knowledge of case processing and safety reporting.
  • Experience leading a number of projects and directly managing clients' requirements.
