The Strategic Business Performance Intern is responsible for collecting, organising and studying data to provide business insight. The role typically sees the Strategic Business Performance Intern involved with managing, cleansing, abstracting and aggregating data, and applying a range of analytical techniques on that data.
The successful candidate will work with a variety of stakeholders in order to assist the wider team make recommendations and propose solutions to improve business performance.
The successful applicant will have a basic understanding of data structures, database systems and procedures and an understanding of the range of analytical tools used to undertake different types of analyses.
The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to work in a busy, fast-paced environment within the Strategic Business Performance team. The intern will be taking raw data from various systems and using existing tools and software, convert this raw data into industry or client standard formats that enable stakeholders within the business to make decisions and drive actions as required.
Additionally, the intern will get help in developing a number of soft skills, for example: communication, scheduling, team-working, quality focus & deadline driven, taking the initiative and proactivity.You will learn the following
- Develop a good understanding of the data lifecycle, including: what is Data Governance and a Data Management Plan, how to drive Data Quality through systems, and how to create meaningful visual dashboards.
- Good time management and organization skills, the ability to prioritize own work to meet tight deadlines while maintaining the highest standards of work.
- Effective communication skills; a co-operative and team orientated approach.

- You must be a student and be eligible for an internship agreement with a third party
- Minimum of a BSc in Math, Computing, Business Performance/Analytics or any related field
- Experience using Spotfire or Power BI at an intermediate level required
- A willingness to learn with great attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Proficiency in English is mandatory. Additionally, an intermediate level in French is required.
