Job Summary

We are seeking a two Assistant Scientists (Analytical Chemistry) for our Formulation & Analytical Chemistry Department located in Tranent, near Edinburgh.

Analytical Chemistry Services provide formulation and analytical methodology as well as analytical support to external clients and internal customers.

Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Scientist position include:
• Working on analytical method development and GLP validation studies
• Sample analysis on major GLP toxicology programmes
• Data recording to GLP
• Reporting and Quality control checking of data
• Communicating and working effectively as part of a team
• Liaising with internal and external customers
• Working to agreed deadlines

The minimum qualification related to the Assistant Scientist role are:
• Honours degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry or a Chemistry related subject
• Relevant Laboratory experience with HPLC/UHPLC/GC
• Effective organisational skills and time management skills
• Good problem solving ability

The salary for this position is £24,876.69 per annum.

Charles River is committed to helping our partners expedite their preclinical drug development with exceptional safety assessment services, state-of-the-art facilities and expert regulatory guidance.
