THE POSITION

Within the division Corporate Strategy & Consulting at Boehringer Ingelheim, Internal Consulting enables the strategic projects of the Boehringer Ingelheim group. Strategic choices are about where to compete & how to win. This requires educated decisions and the right level of information for decision makers, taking into consideration outside-in perspectives and challenges. Our focus is to make the purpose, the outcome and the implications of each strategy and strategic decisions crisp & clear while covering both, the conceptual level as well as the practical aspects of execution. Thereby, we connect the single strategic initiatives to a bigger picture for our Corporation.


TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• In your new role, you will provide end to end management consulting from scoping to handover in top priority projects for the Boehringer Ingelheim Corporation together with the responsible businesses and functions.
  
• One of your key tasks will be to lead and drive large-scale strategic, transformational, organizational and performance enhancement projects with high exposure to senior management and top management.
  
• In addition, you will act as sparring partner for senior management and be an enabler for cross-project consistency and strategic alignment.
  
• Moreover, you will lead and develop inhouse management consultants with different seniority levels and ensure successful project delivery.
  
• You will secure governance of Boehringer Ingelheim’s external management consulting engagements and manage interactions with external management consulting companies.
  
• Furthermore, you will manage and shape the future of the Internal Consulting team proactively as a member to the Internal Consulting Management Team.
  

REQUIREMENTS

• Master's degree or University's degree, preferably in Business Administration or Health Sciences (e.g., medicine, veterinary, pharmacy or biology) combined with an MBA
  
• Several years of experience in leading large-scale strategic, transformational projects for global organizations and corresponding leadership experience in an international matrix setting
  
• Preferably, consulting background with relevant prior experience in strategic management consulting in healthcare or related industries
  
• Personality with advanced professional standing, able to trustfully collaborate with business partners including senior and top management
  
• High analytical skills, can-do attitude in combination with a proactive, business-oriented mindset and excellent communication and presentation skills, fluent in English
  
• Knowledgeable about the healthcare business, industry trends, future strategies, organizational structures, business processes and technologies
  
• Ability to make decisions under tight deadlines and pressure
