Who will you be working for:

We are currently working with a fantastic client who are looking for an Associate Project Manager for a CRO in East London.  The company have a positive and strong leadership team who are accelerating growth with a lot of financial investment being driven into business creating a great vision for the future, which will enable people to work to their strengths. The offices are very modern, and they have a fully kitted out clinical site close by. This is a hybrid role with 2-3 days in the office a week.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Associate Project Manager is responsible, under direction of a Project Director, for supporting the delivery of the project to timelines, within budget and to agreed quality standards. The Associate Project Manager works closely with their allocated cross-functional team. 

Key roles and responsibilities:

  • Support delivery of projects to scope (project, timelines and quality standards) as agreed in the Clinical Trial Agreement and standards.
  • Taking a proactive approach to risk management, support the Project Manager (PM) and/or Project Director (PD) in identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Support PM/PD and team to meet client expectations communications and project updates.
  • Comply with regulatory, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ICH Good Clinical Practice (ICH GCP) and project requirements (e.g. customer SOPs);
  • Actively contribute to the on-going process improvement of the department.

Duties include:

  • Work with the Finance team and internal stake holders to develop financial and skills and understanding to underpin assumption.
  • Provide Project Manager with requested information to support negotiation and execution of Clinical Trial Agreement.
  • Support PM/PD in working with Finance team to negotiate and execute third party subcontractor agreements.
  • Support PM/PD in the developing the project management strategy and plans, including the communication strategy. Escalate any issues to the PM/PD or relevant PTMs.
  • Support the PM/PD in managing invoicing of customers and payment to subcontractors in accordance with agreed milestones/deliverables.
  • Compile month end reporting including review of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), revenue recognition and forecasts, issue and risk assessments and project status updates.
  • May take the Project Lead role of a project as required as part of their development towards a Project Manager.

Essential:

  • Biological Science Degree or equivalent
  • Thorough knowledge of ICH GCP and working familiarity with UK SI regulations 
  • Project Co-ordination or clinical operations experience 
  • Experience of working in a team within a matrix environment

  • Employees have a particular responsibility for ensuring the confidentiality of personal information and company data.
  • All employees are bound to comply with all company policies and standard operating procedures and are required to update themselves on a regular basis and attend all mandatory training.
  • To keep updated and maintain your CPD including attending internal/external seminars/workshops etc.
