About this role:

Production in Meppel is organised in three production shifts per 24 hours. The Manager Formulation/Packaging is responsible for the entire production in the area of Formulation or Packaging in one shift. The Managers are reporting to the Senior Manager Production.

Amongst the main responsibilities for this role are the following:

  • Cooperate in making and verifying adherence to procedures, GMP and quality standards.
  • Establish a culture of compliance and quality awareness
  • Motivates people in his own shift. Shares and explains goals and objectives.
  • Delivers high quantities at agreed levels of compliance, quality, safety and costs.
  • Shows leadership by enabling empowerment. Manage his operators in a coaching style. Is sensitive to development needs, provides opportunities whenever possible. Creates high performance teams and culture.
  • Quickly analyses and interprets deviations and exceptions in the production process or production environment. Takes sound decisions including appropriate consultation of experts or senior management.
  • Clear and concise reporting of status, deviations and progress to peers and other stake holders in other department
  • Acknowledges and encourages the effort of team members towards effective working in the team and between interdepartmental teams.ts.

Essential Knowledge & Experience:

  • Highly competent in people management.
  • Good organization skills in dynamic environment.
  • Is able to lead transformation process from task oriented to goal oriented.
  • Stimulate ownership.
  • Bachelor/master degree in engineering, process engineering, pharmacy or similar.
  • Good knowledge of pharmaceutical formulation and packaging processes.
  • Extensive knowledge of life science industry, GxP’s and regulations regarding safety, health and environment.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Good knowledge of logistics and financial management.
  • Good skills in information management and technology.
  • At least 5 years experience with people management.
  • At least 5 years experience in life science, food or chemical industry.
