Job Details

Data Engineer needed for an exciting, well established, Medical Device AI company who are headquartered in Cardiff.

I am supporting a very exciting, Medical Device AI company who are headquartered in Cardiff. My client are providing clinicians with real-time support from the classroom to the clinic. They are looking for a passionate and creative Data Engineer to join their team.

If you want to have the freedom to input your ideas and play a huge part in how a company should look after their data, then this is the role for you.

Responsibilities

 

  • Build data systems and pipelines to enhance data quality and reliability
  • Prepare datasets to support the production, testing, and validation of machine learning models Develop, support, and enhance internal tools and services
  • Maintain and extend processes and systems to manage, curate and process medical image data.
  • Use tracking sheets, process documents, issue trackers and other systems for the organisation of the above tasks as directed by your managers and the Quality Management System
  • Produce and maintain project documentation
  • Liaise with other members of my clients development and medical teams where appropriate to support the above activities.

Background

 

  • 2+ years practical data engineering experience
  • Qualification in a technical discipline or relevant field
  • Experience of designing, building, and maintaining efficient and robust data architectures, and ETL pipelines
  • Strong Python programming skills
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail Great numerical and analytical skills
  • Proactive team player, able to work well in a small team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working in a Trusted Research Environment would be desirable
