RBW Consulting is partnered with a full-service Medical Communications agency, looking for a Client Services Director to join their team of specialists in healthcare communications. In this role, you will lead account teams in the delivery of complex and multi-year projects to support Pharma, Med Tech, and Biotech clients from Phase II onwards. As part of an exciting growth plan, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of a portfolio of global, European and US-based client accounts, accountable for effective delivery, client relationships, financial health and overall growth of the business.

The Client Service Director will:

  • Provide strategic leadership and counsel on accounts and build strong client relationships
  • Oversee the account team in delivering quality projects that are on strategy, creative and appropriate for the client's needs
  • Manage the financial health of accounts and have proactive conversations with clients when scope changes
  • Mentor and upskill junior staff members to support their growth and development
  • Develop complex and strategic materials including patient and site materials, event and meeting approaches, new business proposals
  • Take an increasing role in identifying new business opportunities

As a member of the Senior Management Team, Client Service Directors are involved in the leadership of the MedComms team and play an active role in shaping and growing the business. If you are looking to take on a greater role in client and team leadership, then this might be for you!

Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A university degree in sciences or related academic qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience consulting within clinical research, pharmaceutical industry, medical communications, or related communications field (agency experience preferred, not required)
  • A desire to solve client challenges with innovative and fresh ideas
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented approach, and ability to handle a variety of different and challenging situations
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex client accounts to high standards of service, on strategy, on time, and within budget
  • Superior writing skills with the ability to write for a variety of audiences including patients and healthcare professionals, and in a variety of formats
