*Main Duties and Responsibilities*

The successful candidate shall take an active role in the ongoing development of operational ability in Cell & Gene Therapy logistics, to ensure the highest levels of customer service, commerciality, quality & satisfaction and responsible for local Cell & Gene operations and managing a team of coordinators on disciplinary and performance issues. To effectively utilize the expertise within the Cell and Gene Therapy department and shall not be limited to the following:
* Design and implement appropriate, compliant, cost-effective, and scalable solutions
* Effectively support the branches to proactively monitor the status of shipments, identification, and action to deal with issues as they arise, implement planned corrective measures and escalate appropriately to maintain product viability
* Point of contact to the client logistics team, responding to day-to-day operational queries
* Utilize technology to provide enhanced monitoring, management, and control of shipments as required
* Ensure successful Placement, control, and arrangement of appropriate packaging (Controlled temperature shippers & LN2 Dry shippers), equipment (GPS tracking devices, Temperature monitors), and trained operatives are according to Cell & Gene project specifications-COPs or SOPs.
* Ensure successful coordination and Dispatching of drivers for collections and deliveries ensuring that they are on time, and they adhere to the clients’ expectations regarding documentation - GDP requirements.
* Conduct regular training on GMP and work with the regulatory team to ensure trade compliance for all Import and Export shipments
* Ensure that Chain of custody and identity control is maintained through the preparation and coordination of associated documentation or systems
* Ensure successful Booking of Cell & Gene shipments with Airlines (MAWB) and Integrator to ensure the best routing solution for all Cell & Gene shipments
* Ensure proper handling and storage of all Cell & Gene shipments with Airlines and Ground handling facilities
* Ensure successful Labeling and preparation of shipments for Export (some heavy lifting may be required) and ensure that a driver is dispatched to meet the airline cut-off time for international shipments.
* Ensure Marken’s Maestro system performance compliance with all necessary data entry and confirmation of key milestones (departure, arrival, customs clearance, etc.) for all Cell & Gene shipments
* Ensure successful communication of pre-alerts to for all Cell & Gene shipments with Marken branches and local service providers and ensure communication to confirm receipt of the pre-alert and shipment instructions.
* Ensure successful compliance of Pre- and Post-flight shipment checks and communicate with airlines and handling agents in case of delays or off-loads.
* Serve as an escalation point for the operations team and ensure all issues or delays will be communicated to the Cell & Gene Management Team.
* To undertake any other reasonable duties at the request of the Line Manager.

*Requirements*
* At least 2 years of relevant experience in 3PL, Supply Chain, Cold Chain or Pharma industries
* PC/System literate and especially on Microsoft Excel and Word
* Excellent communication skills as this position will communicate with multiple stakeholders, internally and externally
* Sound knowledge on temperature controlled shipping
