THE POSITION

Become part of the global IT EFP Finance A2R EMEA team, which drives Finance related IT initiatives and projects to all BI affiliates around the globe. In this position you are an expert in FICO topics, you’ll also have the opportunity to work on Treasury & Taxation initiatives. You’ll work closely with our Global Business Process Management organization to plan, design, and implement the necessary FICO solutions for BI. In addition, you manage the complete system life cycle (design, build, run & decommission) of global IT systems and applications in a pharmaceutical regulated environment with other IT functions.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Acting as a liaison between the team and the business, you will provide consulting to internal business partners at all levels in the business domain Finance (FICO) incl. Taxation and Treasury.
  
• You will identify the needs of your assigned business partners, perform demand management, and provide innovative recommendations for process changes and technology-enabled solutions.
  
• As part of a project team, you will contribute to the project deliverables by coordinating and communicating activities between internal and external development team members to fulfill the business needs.
  
• With your technical expertise, you will maintain and enhance our SAP applications, apply innovations to existing solutions.
  
• Furthermore, you will review and support IT solutions, analyze tasks and participate on project teams including the ongoing maintenance, optimization, 3rd-level support.
  
• You will closely follow innovative IT trends and technologies to identify and drive potential approaches to digitalize Finance initiatives (focus to S/4HANA integration).
  
• Finally, you will influence the direction, and achievement of our objectives.
  

As IT Lead Business Consultant, you also assume the following responsibilities:

• You manage large (agile) IT projects and programs with high complexity.
  
• You work with external partners to ensure mutually beneficial cooperation.
  
• In the SAP FICO area, you interact with our stakeholders at management and senior management level to enforce process, architecture, and roadmap decisions.
  

Requirements

• At least Bachelor’s degree or Master’s in Computer Science/IT or Business (e.g., Business Informatics, Business Engineering) or equivalent
  
• Several years of professional experience in IT Finance with a business process knowledge in Finance (Accounting, Controlling & Taxation, Treasury & Cash Management) preferred
  
• Experience in ECC & S/4 HANA for SAP FI &CO, TRM & PS; Experience in working with/debugging ABAP code and programming language is a plus
  
• Know-how of methodologies for system design/development/implementation, project implementation life cycle as well as validation and regulatory requirements would be beneficial
  
• Knowledge about IT-trends in new technologies (e.g., AI, Machine Learning, robotics, predictive analytics)
  
• Experience in working in a virtual and international environment
  
• Willingness and readiness to travel up to 20% of the time
  
• Results oriented, teamwork and collaboration skills, prioritization, and time management skills
  
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English & German, additional Spanish language skills are a plus
  

As IT Lead Business Consultant, you also fulfill the following requirements:

• Long-term professional IT experience, including a proven track record in function as an interface to internal and external business partners
  
• Proven project management experience in large and complex IT projects and programs
  
• Excellent negotiating skills and strong capacity to build consensus within a larger group of stakeholders
