Job Description

The Assistant Brand Manager reports to the Associate Director supporting Commercial Solutions and our companies masterbrand in our organization. This person supports the Associate Director in executing initiatives supporting the various businesses under the Commercial umbrella (comprised of three Business Lines: Consulting, Communications and Deployment Solutions). This position focuses on execution of down-stream marketing (offline and online).

Responsibilities include working closely with our GCC&M Business Partner responsible for leading Commercial Solutions as well as interfacing with GCC&M Centers of Excellence (e.g., Digital Strategy & Analytics, Conferences) and agency partners (strategy/creative and media) to ensure seamless, synergistic execution of initiatives for internal and external audiences.

The Assistant Brand Manager serves as an internal brand champion. This person should embrace professional growth opportunities.

Role & Responsibility

Activity

Overall, provide organization with executional support for downstream marketing (i.e., marketing, advertising and promotions).

Help execute Marketing projects including branding, advertising and media.

Key and active participant assisting manager in brand coordination across all external-facing marketing projects .

Responsible for competitive intelligence tracking and reporting related to creative campaigns and media spending. With increased understanding of our business model, this data should yield implications that can be leveraged in strategic initiatives.

Coordination with brand and media agencies on paid media and brand-related projects.

Responsible for reviewing campaign metrics and helping identify observations and recommendations.

Responsible for the management of internal billing and budget tracking. Includes working closely with Finance to set codes for internal/external billing. Overall, assist with management of Marketing budget.Requirements

Education and Experience
  • 3+ years of Marketing and/or Advertising experience in pharma
  • Some background in marketing strategy development
  • Strong tactical execution experience - handling multiple projects and deadlines
  • B2B experienced preferred, but not required
  • Experience managing production /shoots, but not required


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to execute multiple tactics and objectives within prescribed timelines; must have excellent Project Management skills and experience
  • Understanding of new product development process and/or campaign development process
  • Ability to partner with outsourced marketing/research/advertising activities partners
  • Experience project managing/coordinating aspects of a campaign, including management of meetings and events, project schedules
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective writing and presentation skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to foster team-oriented environment


Travel Requirements
  • 5% travel.
