Staff within this Theme conduct ground-breaking research that underpins our educational approach and informs our cutting-edge innovations. Active learning, experiential learning during placements, interpersonal communication and critical thinking skills development, and individual student coaching are all evidence-based teaching approaches that have been studied and published within PPS- Ed.

The Faculty also houses the Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MIPS), which integrates research from five themes that span the gamut of the drug discovery pipeline to  identify, develop, optimise and deliver new drug treatments – ultimately translating basic research into clinical trials. MIPS is Australia's largest, most experienced and successful group of pharmaceutical scientists, with over 250 staff and 250 PhD students undertaking basic and translational drug discovery, drug delivery and drug development research in state-of-the-art laboratories on Monash's Parkville campus.

To be successful in this role, you must have a doctoral qualification and/or recognised significance in the relevant discipline, with emphasis on experience in the field of Medicine Use and Safety.
