Job Details

We are recruiting for an exciting senior opportunity for a Global Medical Device CRO based in Germany. This is a fantastic role for an experienced manager with prior site oversight experience to take on a senior influential leadership position.

 

Responsibilities

  • Comprehensive responsibility and entrepreneurial management of the site, including the complete management team and the profit development of the site with approx. 50 highly qualified employees
  • Technological and process-oriented further development of the laboratory
  • Ensuring compliance with the applicable requirements of DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025, EU directives and local regulations and the USFDA
  • Ensuring the application of quality systems in the performance and documentation of laboratory tests, in accordance with quality guidelines or quality plans
  • Recruitment and supervision of employees as well as selection and implementation of appropriate training and continuing education measures
  • Prepare annual budget, plan expenditures, analyse variances and initiate corrective action as appropriate corrective actions.
  • Setting departmental goals and performance metrics
  • Collaborate with U.S. corporate headquarters and global locations. Maintaining customer satisfaction by performing laboratory studies in a timely manner, as well as exceptional customer service
  • Considering customer needs in the design and operation of the testing facility

 

Requirements

  • Highly experienced industry professional – circa 10 years with approximately 5 years in personnel management
  • Knowledge of quality management procedures, in particular the standards DIN EN ISO 9000ff, DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025, DIN ISO 10993, DIN EN ISO 14971
  • Good knowledge in analytical chemistry and/or toxicology as well as profound knowledge in laboratory operations
  • Experience in profit centre management, e.g., branch management, plant management, operations management, logistics management, or production management Life science education
