Planet Pharma are working with a Global Clinical Research Organisation who are currently seeking a full-time, Medical Technologist to join their team in Germany. This position plays a key role in the research based drug development within the pharmaceutical industry.

This is an office-based position with work from home flexibility after probation!

As part of this role, you will be responsible to:

• Perform routine instrument maintenance and troubleshooting;
• Develop knowledge of federal regulations regarding clinical trials, knowledge of pre-analytical variables affecting clinical laboratory testing, and knowledge of disease processes and correlation with clinical laboratory data;
• Perform laboratory investigations;
• Perform testing, documentation, and routine lab system operations; and

Requirements

• MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), or CLS(NCA) certification (if applicable);
• Familiarity with basic molecular biology techniques (PCR, RT-PCR);
• Good theoretical and practical knowledge of Sanger sequencing and Next Generation sequencing techniques;
• Good molecular practical experience including qPCR, Sanger Sequencing and Next generation Sequencing is a plus;
• Laboratory experience of DNA/RNA sequencing, using Sanger sequencing and Next Generation Sequencing;
