Job Details

Hobson Prior are currently looking for a USP/DSP Process Engineer to join a brilliant biotech establishment on a permanent basis located in Shannon. Our client is focused on generating solutions that have the possibility of curing those who suffer from serious illnesses.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • For this position, you will be accountable for guaranteeing that any GMP documentation allocated such as problems, CAPAs, change controls, BMRs and audits/inspection activities are closed in a RFT and timely manner.
  • To remove any barriers, or time lags while conducting efficiently within own working groups to accomplish favourable results for the company, you will evolve and handle solid relations across teams.
  • Support with the recognition and execution of technology based and work practice solutions designed to reduce waste and general cost.
  • You will assist in process technical transfer action which involves design of experiments, single-use items specifications development for manufacturing use and current process FMEA actions.
  • Organise supplier actions for commissioning & qualification, maintenance and calibration and/or process improvements.
  • Any other assigned duties.

Requirements:

  • Educated to a degree level in an engineering or science field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a biopharmaceutical setting in a process engineering position.
  • Cleanroom know-how.
  • Know-how of biopharmaceutical process operations which involves media & buffer prep, upstream & downstream such as single use bioreactors, centrifuges, UF/DF, TFF.
  • Fluency in the English language.
  • Experience with a variety of biopharmaceutical equipment and manufacturing procedures.
  • Acquaintance with computerised equipment systems as well as the principles of data integrity, which involves assessment a d verification for new and current equipment.
  • Past involvement with the needs of commissioning and qualification of process equipment and utilities items.
