Clinical Project Director – RWE/Late Phase – Full Service – Global CRO – Fully Remote - €95,000 to €105,000 plus package

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work for a top quality provider and global CRO who are rapidly growing their RWE and Decentralised Clinical Trial (DCT) departments. This company have hired 5000+ new employees since the start of the year and are projected to grow more than any other CRO in the industry. Among such remarkable growth, their RWE and late phase departments retain a family feel culture with amazing support networks and development plans, tailored for each individual. To support this incredible growth, this company are looking to add an experienced member to their RWE department in the role of Clinical Project Director.

 

Description

The Project Director, RWE is accountable for the successful execution of assigned projects, ensuring they are conducted according to company and client SOPs and ensure conduct of project related training

The Project Director may oversee a portfolio of studies as well as single studies of particular importance to the company.

As a Project Director, the appointee will operate at a high level of competency with minimal supervision.  

 

Responsibilities

  • Ensure RWE and late phase studies within a portfolio are conducted to reflect the design, scientific and client requirements
  • Serve as the CRO primary contact with the sponsor for all project related items
  • Responsible for leading and managing teams to ensure efficient execution of clinical trials
  • Work in complex global studies in several therapeutic areas including oncology, cardiovascular, infectious disease and CNS, among others.
  • Drive management of the contracted deliverables including progress reporting and adherence to time, cost and quality deliverables.
  • May provide support to RWE study scientific and operations leads in strategic, high quality operational study planning ensuring cross-functional alignment on budget and timelines.
  • Proactively support teams to identify and mitigate risks and/or issues.
  • Drive performance improvement, operational efficiencies, and innovative strategies within the RWLP department
  • Act as level of escalation and support for the Project Team.
  • Provide input into client proposals and budgets in response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with clients to generate new and/or add-on future business
  • Formally and informally serve as mentor to a junior PM staff member
  • Lead and participate in internal CRO process improvement initiatives

 

Ideal Background:

  • 7+ years Project Management experience in RWE, Late Phase, Registries, Observational studies, Data integration studies, Chart reviews, Expanded Access, or Time and Motion studies, from start up to closeout
  • Experience in RWE studies or virtualised/DCT studies preferred
  • Prior full service CRO experience
  • Ability to work in matrixed environment
  • Ability to cooperate with key stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of a project
  • Ability to manage and communicate with key stakeholders, both internally and externally
  • Ability to guide and mentor new staff
