Process Engineer

Hobson Prior are looking for a Process Engineer to join a brilliant biotech organisation on a permanent basis located in Shannon. Our client is focused on generating remedies that may have the possibility of curing those who are suffering from serious illnesses.

Key Responsibilities:

• For this role, you will be accountable for guaranteeing that own work conforms to GMP, data integrity and GDP and is assumed rendering to suitable processes.
• Support in the execution and development of suitable engineering specifications and standards.
• To remove barriers, or time lags while conducting efficiently in own working groups to accomplish favourable results for the company.
• Assist the capital project design and evaluation actions, specifically single use equipment and set up.
• You will organise supplier actions for commissioning & qualification, maintenance & calibration and/or process developments.
• Any other assigned duties.

Requirements:

• Educated to a degree level in a pertinent engineering or science field.
• At least 5 years of experience operating in a biopharmaceutical organisation in a process engineering position.
• Cleanroom know-how.
• Know-how of biopharmaceutical process operations which involves media & buffer prep, upstream & downstream such as single use bioreactors, centrifuges, US/DF, TFF, etc.
• Fluency in the English language.
• Prior involvement with a variety of biopharmaceutical equipment and manufacturing procedures.
• Experience with computerised equipment systems and the principles of data integrity, which involves examination and verification for new and current equipment.
• Acquaintance with the needs of commissioning and qualification of process equipment and utilities teams.
