THE POSITION

As LIMS Business Administrator, You will advise our functional areas on the mapping of business processes in the systems and take over the business related part of application administration and second level support.

In this expert position you will master complex business processes and related master data management for the compliant operation of our
laboratory computer systems together with your counterparts in the team.
With your contribution, you will finally support up to 1500 users in maintaining our high product quality to sustainably improve the lives of generations .

Tasks & responsibilities

  • As LIMS Business Administrator, you will consult our biopharmaceutical labs on the implementation of their specific processes in laboratory information systems (e.g. Analysis and Reporting solutions for microplate readers).
  • In your role, you will represent Quality Germany in software implementation/ enhancement projects and will take over tasks in context of the GMP-compliant operation, administration and second level support.
  • Therefore, you will support the definition and establishment of Master Data Governance topics of different assays (e.g. Clotlyse, ELISA etc.)
  • You will contribute defining and establishing modular and reusable master data content and will become our Master Data Expert for complex methods.
  • In addition, you will partner with our functional method experts to align on the implementation of product-specific requirements for master data templates.
  • With your expertise, you will additionally take over validation and qualification activities as well as database queries.
  • You will be involved in the preparation of various GMP documents, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and the preparation, planning, and execution of trainings for employees regarding the use of systems.
  • You will also coordinate a global expert network across sites for internal alignment regarding the methods cluster in Quality Germany.


Requirements

  • Master’s degree in biology, biotechnology, bioinformatics, or comparable qualifications with multiple years of professional experience
  • Very good knowledge and experience in the GMP environment (especially in computer system validation) as well as expert knowledge of biopharmaceutical processes (analytical methods)
  • Knowledge of project management as well as system administration (e.g. microplate reader solutions; Labware LIMS, Waters Empower etc.)
  • Analytical thinking with the ability to structure information and process flows
  • Good communication and presentation skills in German and English (business fluent)
