Job Details

Parexel has an exciting opportunity to join our Business Process Excellence team as Director, Client Partnerships & Reporting. This role will be responsible for the delivery and coordination of the activities of the Partnership Reporting team, providing data, reports, and metrics to internal and external stakeholders. The Director, Client Partnerships & Reporting, will work closely with key partnership commercial and delivery senior leadership teams to understand and deliver the critical data and reporting needs. Managing and mentoring a team of 4 business analysts through requirement gathering to delivery, as well as making recommendations and delivering insights.

Key Accountabilities & Supporting Activities

Business Partner
  • Facilitate effective requirement gathering across the team and business, managing the overall partnership reporting roadmap
  • Guide the business to streamline their review and management processes to benefit from the availability of trusted information
  • Engage with the business to drive towards a data centric organization
  • Regularly meet with Commercial, Delivery and Technology stakeholders to assess priorities and pain points to understand relative priorities and/or identify new data initiatives that may bring substantial value to the partnerships
  • Clear, concise, and informative communication with Clinical Delivery and Commercial senior leadership, providing updates, recommendations, and guidance to cross functional stakeholders
  • Manage a solution backlog for partnership reporting that is clear and accurately represents business priorities for new features through a thorough understanding of the technology and business
  • Ensure the alignment of the partnership reporting roadmap with the CTOR delivery team to ensure cohesive outputs
  • Ensure there are effective plans in place that clearly explain the support and maintenance processes and that these processes enable efficient support for the end user
  • Work closely with the Report Development team, particularly leadership, to ensure close collaboration, issue resolution and accomplishment of shared objectives


Data Expert
  • Work closely with the Data Governance team to ensure the continuous improvement of data definition, quality and cataloguing through solution and reporting lifecycles
  • Work closely with Data Governance and IT to understand the data roadmap of Data Lake ingestion and modeling
  • Have a working knowledge of critical data tables in the Data Lake to be able to guide the Business Analysts and Developers on the appropriate sources


Leadership
  • Drive training, adoption, compliance and change management to ensure a successful rollout of reports and dashboards
  • Pave the way for the successful partnering of the team with the business through networking and engagement with senior leaders in the organization
  • Evaluate progress of the team and adapt as necessary, being ultimately accountable for each stage of the development process and final product
  • Ability to clearly and enthusiastically articulate the vision and roadmap of the partnership reporting team to all levels of the organization, navigating the appropriate level of detail


Line Management
  • Ensure proper training and capacity for direct reports
  • Ensure the team build the appropriate capabilities, both technical “hard” skills and business partnering “soft” skills
  • Responsible for providing direction, mentoring and developmental plans to ensure teams meet or exceed business and personal goals in keeping with Parexel’s high performance culture
  • Ensures the timely completion of Performance and Development tasks with direct reports
  • Support and mentor direct reports to ensure the timely completion of departmental tasks and goals
  • Assists direct and indirect reports with active and timely management of workloads

Knowledge and Experience
  • Thorough understanding and at least 10 years’ experience of Clinical Research Services and the business processes performed
  • Significant experience of working with global teams across different time zones
  • Proven experience of management of a complex team and operation within a Matrixed environment


Education
  • MSc/BSc in a related discipline with experience, or very extensive relevant experience in the industry
