QC Scientist/Senior QC Scientist

Hobson Prior are looking for a Senior QC Scientist to join a brilliant biotech corporation on a permanent basis located in Abingdon. Our client is focused on revolutionising solutions with therapies for people who are living with cancer.

Key Responsibilities:

• For this role, you will be accountable for the procedure and document production of assay transfers linked to QC tests.
• Support the QC laboratory equipment validation.
• Monitor sampling and storage of QC samples and maintain inventory.
• Conduct QC testing of raw resources, in-process, water and product samples adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• You will form, author, review and uphold protocols for QC testing.
• Responsible for setting-up and preserving QC systems connected to in-process, final drug product and stability sample.
• Serve as a delegate for the Head of QC for times of their absence or when duties have been appointed.
• The ideal candidate will organise shipping and receipt of QC samples and any other QC linked resources.
• To communicate QC needs, you will network within internal, as well as across any other functional group.
• Evaluate and finalise documentation rendering to present Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Any other assigned duties.

Key Skills:

• Capable of working well with others.
• Communication abilities both verbally and written.
• An organised individual.

Requirements:

• Educated to a degree level in a Chemistry/Biochemistry/Microbiology or similar discipline.
• At least 5+ years of experience with GLP / GMP work settings.
• Computer literacy which involves MS Word and Excel.
