Growing, European CRO with over 25 years of proven track record in hitting recruitment targets and delivering on time within budget is seeking an ambitious and driven Business Development Director to join them.

Working with pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device companies, this is a unique opportunity to drive the company’s development and share in their future.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversight and management of all Clinical Research Business Development activities
  • Proactive identification of new business opportunities (within ongoing & new projects) as well as the adaptation and placement of business interests with the client with a focus on close cooperation with the sales team.
  • Proactively propose innovations, initiatives and partnerships to improve the competitive position or performance of the firm
  • Conducting customer negotiations and preparing a wide range of documents and presentations for a professional presentation to the customer.
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and keeping records of all activities with customer.
  • Build strong relationships with the internal functional departments and maintain in depth knowledge of their services in order to support lateral business opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in science, medicine, business administration, or related areas
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working within a CRO within the DACH or EU region.
  • You have a proven track record of sales and/or business development within pharma/biotech industry.
  • You are characterized by very good analytical and conceptual skills paired with strong communication skills.
  • You have an independent, solution-oriented, structured, careful and reliable way of working.
  • Awareness of trends and territory specific government policies and regulations in the clinical trial areas.
  • You have a high degree of flexibility and a hands-on mentality.
  • Even in "high phases" you keep a cool head and always pay attention to the quality of your work results.
  • You think entrepreneurially and want to help build a fast-growing pharmaceutical service company with passion.
  • Fluency in written and spoken German and English required
