Job Details
On behalf of our client, we are currently recruiting for a Scientific Officer, Pharmaceutical Assessment for Veterinary Sciences. This is a 3 year contract role. This is a hybrid working arrangement – 3 days in the office (Dublin City Centre) and 2 days remote.
ROLE SUMMARY
The Scientific Officer will work as part of the Pharmaceutical Assessment section in the Veterinary Sciences department and will:
Assist in the evaluation of the pharmaceutical aspects of routine applications for renewal or variation of product marketing authorisations. Assist in the evaluation and finalisation of labelling, public assessment reports and in the related aspects of applications for marketing authorisations.
- Assist in the maintenance of the computer databases and information systems relating to veterinary medicinal products.
- The Scientific Officer will work closely and maintain effective working relationships with the other members of the section, and with members of the Veterinary Sciences department as a whole, to ensure effective co-ordination and co-operation across all areas of assessment and to ensure that the objectives of the Veterinary Sciences department are met.
The Scientific Officer will maintain effective working relationships with colleagues in sections and departments of the company, and with stakeholder sections, to ensure that Assessment issues requiring cross-functional input are effectively investigated and followed up on.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
To be considered for this post, candidates must have:
o Third level degree in pharmacy or other relevant scientific discipline.In addition, the following would be considered an advantage: A minimum of one year’s relevant industrial, regulatory or research experience in the pharmaceutical industry or other related field or a relevant postgraduate qualification in a related scientific discipline. The ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. o Direct experience working with stakeholders/customers. o Demonstrate initiative and team working capabilities. The ability to meet deadlines.
