Job Details

As a Senior Manager, Business Analysis you will be responsible for working with the clinical operations functions, either directly or through managing a team of Business Analysts, to understand and interpret their reporting and analysis needs and then collaborating with key stakeholders, including developers and IT, to successfully project manage delivery of those requirements. A significant focus of this role will be on the reporting requirements related to the PRISM program, which is a significant investment in overhauling the way we price, resource, and manage scope of projects in an integrated way. This initiative encompasses major changes to process and systems, and we are looking for a dynamic individual to drive the reporting, and analytics work stream.

Key Accountabilities:

Business Partner
  • Facilitate effective requirement gathering, creates the product roadmap, produces, and effectively prioritizes product backlog for the first and subsequent releases
  • Help the business streamline review and management processes to benefit from the availability of trusted information
  • Facilitate the effective support and maintenance of the solution and provide metrics to prove user issues are being addressed in an acceptable timeframe
  • Regularly meet with Clinical business leaders and technology stakeholders to assess priorities and internal Clinical reporting pain points to understand relative priorities and/or identify new data initiatives that may bring substantial value to the Clinical business
  • Clear, concise, and informative communication of the program to Clinical stakeholders, Clinical Senior Management, Internal and External technology providers and the Corporate PMO
  • Manage a solution backlog for reporting that is clear and accurately represents business priorities for new features through a thorough understanding of the technology and business
  • Provide monthly metrics of adoption and compliance amongst the users targeted by a technology implementation project and use these to address and/or escalate any adoption problems
  • Ensure there are effective support and maintenance plans in place for that clearly explain the support and maintenance processes and that these processes enable efficient support for the end user

Data Expert
  • Work closely with the Data Governance team to ensure the continuous improvement of data quality and data cataloguing through the solution lifecycle
  • Work closely with Data Governance and IT to understand the data roadmap of Data Lake ingestion and modeling
  • Have a working knowledge of critical data tables in the Data Lake to be able to guide the Business Analysts and Developers on the appropriate sources

Leadership
  • Drive the training, adoption, compliance and change management to ensure a successful rollout of reports and dashboards
  • Evaluate Progress, is accountable for each stage of the dev process and final product, Inspects and evaluates products iteratively and incrementally and ultimately responsible for final product UAT
  • Ensure that that there are effective training plans in place when implementing or upgrading a new technology that ensure the business users are trained to the level required to use the new system.

Line Management
  • Ensure proper training and capacity for direct reports
  • Responsible for providing direction, mentoring and developmental plans to ensure teams meet or exceed business and personal goals in keeping with Parexel’s high performance culture
  • Ensures the timely completion of Performance and Development tasks with direct reports
  • Support and mentor direct reports to ensure the timely completion of departmental tasks and goals
  • Assists direct reports with active and timely management of workloads


Required Skills & Experience:
  • Previous experience in the CRO industry
  • 3-5 years business analysis including SQL and creating dashboards
  • Ability to read and write SQL code
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Able to effectively engage people from a variety of cultures and geographic locations
  • Consulting mindset, able to question before jumping to solutions, and identify the right questions to ask to identify the root cause
  • Able to think tactically and strategically for the formation of technology plans
  • Assertive and decisive, being able to push back where appropriate and to navigate the balance of long term appropriate solutions with short term wins

Education:
  • Bachelors Degree in Business and/or equivalent work experience

Language Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

Technical Skills:
  • Microsoft Office, Tableau, Power BI
