Amongst the main responsibilities for this role are the following:
- Responsible for coordinating and managing the data model for assigned clinical and operational systems and leading life-cycle maintenance activities, including system integration processes.
- The position will also be responsible for overseeing change requests and establishing testing plans, as applicable, for system enhancements.
- The position will work through collaborative partnerships with Operational Improvement & Reporting Excellence operational strategists, as applicable, and functional stakeholders to advise on maintenance and updates of the data model.
Essential Knowledge & Experience:
- Leading cross-functional collaborations on the maintenance, upgrades, integrations, releases and decommissioning of the data model and security model for assigned clinical and/or operational system(s).
- Leveraging drug development knowledge and cross-functional partnerships to anticipate changes needed to data structure and standards.
- Leading the strategic assessment of continual improvement of information and systems incorporating industry best practices and vendor strategy and release plans into future iterations.
- Proactively identify impact of changes to business process and other impacted systems.
- Leading the user acceptance test process to ensure business requirements are appropriately tested and risks identified and mitigated.
- Ensure on-time implementation of assigned system(s) and new releases to end users, within budget constraints, in collaboration with IS and business functions
- Overseeing the issues and escalations and managing the process for documentation and resolution of issues through triaging mechanisms.
- Overseeing quality review process to ensure changes made in the data model are reflective of and consistent with agreed upon approach and within defined information management governance standards.
- Partnering with appropriate IS, quality and business functions to manage documentation and test strategies related to implementation of system enhancements.
- Developing and maintaining effective collaborations with key stakeholders and functions, as well as of relevant external stakeholders, including system vendors.
- Developing strategies for identifying and communicating critical factors in technical end user training for assigned system(s).
- Managing as a peer leader within the organization and actively participate to ensure success of the strategic objectives.
