Tasks & responsibilities

  • In our BI Animal Health Business Unit, the Global Supply organization is in charge of managing the entire value chain from sourcing of materials through delivery of final product to the customer. You in the role of Senior Risk Manager Global Supply play an essential part in our organization as you will support the development and drive implementation of the strategy for Risk Management and Supply Resilience.
  • Furthermore, you will lead the Risk Management processes and govern the implementation.
  • In addition to that, you will represent Animal Health on the BI Corporate Supply Risk Management Steering Committee and provide guidance to Animal Health on defining and aligning the BI Corporate Risk Management process.
  • Maintaining and improving the risk register and database for effective and efficient analysis and follow-up is another of your duties.
  • Besides that, you will manage the cross-functional network (EHS&S, Quality, HR, Finance, IT, Sourcing, Supply Chain, LCM, MSAT) of more than 30 Risk Officers worldwide to identify, analyze, assess and mitigate risks within Global Supply and ensure their translation into strategic plans.
  • You will identify ideas to further refine the dual supply strategy and associated revenue thresholds and work with the Head of Supply Strategy to develop the supply network strategy while maintaining high supply reliability standards.
  • Further, you will define the process and supervise the implementation of the product risk assessments for BI AH. By doing so, you will identify and address risks globally and strategically and drive strategic decisions.
  • Finally, you will report regularly critical risks to the Global Supply Executive Management in its Strategy Committee, and support the Global and Sites Leadership teams in risk management related topics as the single point of contact within our organization.



Requirements


  • Master's degree (or equivalent) in Natural or Applied Sciences, business administration or comparable
  • Long-term professional experience in multiple functional areas in pharmaceutical and/or biological Operations, plus experience in Business Development, R&D or Finance
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external teams, including stakeholder integration
  • Several years of experience in leadership roles
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines and anticipate next steps or needs as well as the ability to switch between strategic & tactical mindset as needed
  • Competence to deal with complexity and present topics in a clear, simple way
  • Effective facilitation, presentation, change management, innovation & strategy development skills
  • Excellent command of the English language required
  • Ability to energize and motivate a team as well as conflict resolution skills and assertiveness
