THE ROLE
We are looking for a Central Laboratory Support Services Co-Ordinator 1 to join our Laboratory Services team where you will provide an efficient supplies and logistics service, for both external clients and internal departments. You will manage dispatch of laboratory supplies to investigator sites and internally as required, whilst maintaining the log of supplies expiries and organising dispatch of replacements as required. You will arrange shipments of samples, equipment and/or documentation and ensuring full traceability throughout transit, liaising directly with investigator sites and the Simbec-Orion project management team.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Design and prepare laboratory supplies for use at investigator centres in compliance with clinical study protocols.
- Globally, dispatch studies specific consumables and maintain supply levels at investigator centres for a range of clinical trials.
- Monitor supplies expiries and ensure that the expiry dates of consumables at investigator centres are logged effectively.
- Assist in the design of clinical trial logistics strategy and documentation.
- Organise study sample shipments from investigator sites to, and between, laboratories ensuring traceability of all shipments.
- Arrange internal and referral shipments for Simbec-Orion Laboratory Services and supplies shipments to investigator sites.
- Prepare customs documentation and shipment clearance for shipments as required.
- Monitor the Customer Service mailbox as the first point of contact for shipment and supplies requests.
- Stock management and purchase order generation for laboratory supplies.
SKILLS REQUIRED
ESSENTIAL
- Previous experience in of working within a busy environment .
- 5 GCSE’s including Maths, English and Science or equivalent.
- Previous customer service/administration experience.
DESIRABLE
- A levels within a Science or IT related field or equivalent
- Previous experience with shipping and customs procedures and documentation
- Previous experience with laboratory and clinical consumable supplies.
