Head of Pharmacology

We are partnered with an innovative biotech that are searching for a Head of Pharmacology to lead projects across all phases of drug discovery. This is a fantastic opportunity to build a biology team and provide strategic input into the development of their expanding portfolio. They require someone that has deep and broad small molecule drug discovery experience in leading projects and managing internal and external work across disciplines, have a track record of success in bringing compounds from early validation to candidate selection and have played a key role leading biology teams by applying your experience in phenotypic as well as molecular target-based programs.

Requirements:

• PhD in related discipline with a minimum of 10 years industry experience
• Previous experience driving small molecule programs through the different phases of drug discovery
• Extensive expertise in cellular pharmacology and the execution of screening cascades
• Expertise in the development and execution of screening cascades for phenotypic and target based drug discovery projects
• Previous experience managing a team of scientists
